I hope it does make it to production.
Very exciting idea.
I'm not sure what Doepfers take on releasing intellectual property is but this thing would be of interest to modular users regardless of the origin of the modules.
Maybe Bakis (are you there Bakis ) could could have a quite word with Dieter - I like the idea of a limited edition or small production run for those of us who either don't play keys or are more experimentally orientated (I fall into both categories).

i agree ( and have lobbied for it, so far without being able to whip up much
enthusiasm from most folks :^( ) - i think this device would offer
tremendous flexibility in being able to conduct / interact with patches. one
of the neatest ideas i`ve seen in a while but looks like it may not come to
fruition.
if its absolutely dead as a product, perhaps doepfer would consider
releasing the schematics to the d.i.y. community -
