I tried both last night with various audio levels. The inputs do both sound different, but neither sounds like the audio that's going into it. Distortion or loss of top end appears to be the choice.
I'm interested in whether the A-183-3 might do a better job at amplification. Has anyone got one and tried it on line (or headphone) level audio Or is there a module from another euro-manufacturer that might work better
Thanks
Rich
