The list are modules for mashing sound, however you need to control as
well, even for the nastiest noise.
Control comes from modulation; LFO's, Envelope generators and VCA's and
I promise you can never have enough of these. Also sequencer is a cool
choice this can be done with the A160/161 and a mixer combination or one
of the many purpose built sequencers out there. These no only act as
note generators but CV generators, complex oscillators and more.
Add a mixer, a ring modulator and audio sources like VCO's and noise if
your not just processing external sounds.
As I said modular has a habit of getting dangerously consuming.
It is very important to set a couple of goals you want to achieve, do
some research and ask questions and build a small system (in a largish
case) to start with then expand as you develop.

Whoa!
This is the quickest and nicest advice ive ever gotten. THANKS GUYS!
Thanks a million, everything is being noted & my head is spinning a
little although light is being shed and my ideas are getting clearer!
I think for now it would be best to just get the sound sources from my
DAW and use the modular as an effects/shaping/sound design tool. I would
probably go for modular sound source once I get my head around which
units/brand do what exaclty.
Here is my current ("interest") list (as far as I can understand from
reading/hearing the details of each unit specifically on the site)
Others Brands:
GeigerCounter(FnckYEAH!)
B:assMaster (Euro Rack)
Doepfer:
A119input
A100P6 (case)
A124Wasp
A-140 env1eope
A-115audiodivider
A-116waveshaper
A-136distortion
A-188 BBD
A187-1
A189-1 Bit Crusher,
A137-1 Wave Multipliers
A106 Xtrene Filter
A113 Sub Harmonic Gen
Very confused with what these are exactly/if I need them:
* 1 x Trigger Divider A-160
* 1 x VC Waveform Processor A-116
* 1 x logarithmic VCA A-131
I do actually own a TM7 Scrotum Smasher & TM1 & llooove them dearly :)
So does the above list make sense to have a working/functioning box of
destruction heehee :)
I dont mind everything being mono as I usually prefer mono anyways.
You guys rock!!

Scrotum smasher. Sounds go from plain powerful distortion to unbearable
noises and scratches and tube screaming.

NIN albums, it's full of it.)

produce, basic systems are great but if you wanna add more modules,
you'll need more rackspace. So better have a look at which modules you
think you can live without in the basic system and replace them with
more specific modules. Trust me, the time you spend reading every module
user manual will help you a lot when you get your hands on your system
for the first time.
