Depending on how many stages your BBD uses it can do phasing, dunno about
beating plugins though. The 101-3 is based on vactrols and really
intricate, havent tried it, so no idea about sound. Both the Doepfer and
Tip Top DSPs should give you decent time-based effects. One module that I
really like is the Stilton Adaptor from The Harvestman, which allows you to
easily feed pedal effects into the modular signal chain. The only drawback
is that you loose voltage control over the effects.
Another interesting device is the 4 Phase Modulator (PH 4) by Cwejman. Or
try the SPH-2. Looks very intricate, again no personal experience. Cwejman
has a very good reputation, with prices to match, sadly.

Been searching high and low for a euro rack chorus/phase/flange
(specifically those type of effects)..But only seem to find "bread and
butter" verb/pitch/delay/chorus/flange into one crammed unit.. Anyone know
of real good quality units that beat software plugins
Checked all the brands mentioned in this list:

All we need is a limited edition Doepfer bafana vuvuzela VCO & that would
have covered the entire FIFA range of products.

Energy" standalone and be able to sell it as a unit when I get "tired" of it
in the future as my module epxands, rather than sitting with the Euro Rack
module (selling 2nd hand modular units in South Africa will be VERY
difficult!)..Had a listen to the Plague Bearer demos..TBH it doesnt
(personally speaking) tickle my fancy much..Very "Pedal" sounding if I may
say My current Metasonix TM7 & TM1 can handle those quite easily..But I
appreciate the tip mate :)
