Betreff: 1 Doepfer A199 Reverb - awesome and thanks, Dieter.
Just wanted to tell folks that I bought an A199 two weeks ago and share some
experiences.
It was a very tentative purchase, and I wasn't convinced that I wasn't
making a mistake when I put the money down. I had heard horror stories about
aggressively bad electrical hum, poor quality sound and so on.
Two weeks later, having mounted it outside my case (stuck on the side) I
must say it's one of the best buys I've made so far. I get negligible hum
(and even that goes away when I turn the Emphasis down a little).
Grabbing the springs during a heavy feedback segment allows me to create
really unique rhythms ideal for looping, and other madness.
The FM opportunities it offers are the best on my system.
Quick example below (emphasis is at about 95%).

Thanks, Dieter.
