I would love to get into making cases but as Dieter points out the cost for making a good one are quite high. Not to mention if power supplies are involved there are tons of expensive regulations to pass etc. I think I will have to see a monster base in person to see how big they are. I may end up getting one. I like the smaller P cases though since they are small enough to pass as carry-on luggage (which I will exploit for NAMM). I just know that when baggage handlers see those anvil cases they treat them as indestructible and really toss them around. That is why I would love a Not-monster Base case - so I can still carry it on the plane if needed.
