Wherever I put the offset knob I can only ever get 4V from that point (e.g. offset set to -2V, 4V in I get a range of -2 to +2V out. Offset set to -4V, 4V in I get a range of -4 to 0 volts out). This is with att. set to fully clockwise (10 on the dial).
So, with x Volts in in I cannot get more than (offset+x) volts out. Attenuation works fine. Offset works fine, but amplification..... nothing. :-/

hi Rich,
first of all: offset knob at '1' position (the 1 according to the scale that is marked on the module front panel) should give you -4 volts offset, not 0volts.
now, the a183-2 module should give x2 amplification, according to specs...
