hi Andrew,
you can of course mount AS modules into a doepfer case, but watch out, because you need a special converter ribbon power cable in order to put an AS module into a doepfer case.
you can buy this cable from the AS website, or from analogue haven (US) and probably from many other modular outlets.
also, some AS modules (mostly the digital ones) need +5 volts supply that the doepfer case does not supply by default.
thanks,
Bakis.

Subject: 1 Analogue Systems modules in a A-100 and warranties.

Hi Guys,
I hope you all had a good Christmas.
I have recently started building a small modular in a 9U A-100 suitcase.
I would like to add a Analogue Systems RS35 module.
On the Analogue Systems web site it states that if you add one of their modules to a doepfer system it will void both the warranty of the module and the rack.
Looking at the warranty info on the Doepfer site I cannot see anything about this, apart from the worrying line "Any repair or opening of the unit carried out by unauthorized personnel (including the user) will void the warranty." which cannot be valid for modular systems surely
So I just wondered should I worry about adding this module or just go for it
Thanks for any help
Andy
