i think that's the rs110 you're referring to as multimode (not
rs120), anyway. yes, i agree. it is a most warm, pleasant
sounding filter.
as for the res loop, i really enjoy patching a spring reverb into it
(res out -> reverb in, reverb out-> res in). but more so, a roland
space echo (via a181), i'm sure any delay would do. also, for
timberal shifting, patching a fully animated a136 (w slow lfo
controlling +L and -L) adds a wonderfully thin layer of overdrive
and misbehaviour, also a124 wasp is interesting in the
misbehaviour dept.
basically, sound processors work great in the res loop and are
generally subtle, even w an otherwise heavy-handed processor
patched in. no luck w cv processors. (that's how i temporarily
rendered mine silent)
