In any case a A-165 would convert the rising and the falling slope of a
Gate into single triggers. You do not have to use the inverted out.
So if the gate length is varied (by CV), then the distance of the two
triggers will vary with the gate length.
But I have to admit, that I don't like spending a sequencer row for
adjusting the swing.
Two other possibilities for getting swing without using the second row
of the A-155 come to my mind:
Feed the clock out of a A-154 into a A-160. Use the /2-output of the
A-160 and feed it back into the Clock-CV-input of the A-154. The CV
amount at the A-154 will control the swing factor.
A similar patch can be done with the A-147 VC-LFO and an A-160.
