That's a nice demo. I don't think there's anything there that's specific to one particular synthesiser's sound. Many synths, and most modulars in particular, can make those sorts of sounds. It's much more in the knowledge and skill of patching and playing than in the synthesiser you happen to use.
I'd still recommend a Doepfer A-100, but more for its extensive range of modules (it gives you a *lot* of variety to play with), small size and affordability. You may get it in order to make music in the vein of the classic Berlin sound, but then find out you can do so much more with it as well.
Hmm, now I want to make Namlook style music... :D
