As you already own the A-143-1 the A-142-4 will not add additional features
to your set-up as the circuit of the A-142-4 is a simplified version of the
A-143-1. The attack control of the A-143-1 is not available. Instead of that
an attack trimming potentiometer is available for each unit (but with a
smaller range than the attack control of the A-143-1). The A-142-4 was
planned as a low-cost version of a simple four-fold envelope generator with
manual decay control only. The A-142-4 is about half the price of the
A-143-1.
