I've just taken delivery of 200 3.5mm mono jack plugs, as per the recent recommendation on this group, in anticipation of doing a lot of soldering!

Can anyone suggest the best kind of cable to use when making up patch cords for a A-100 I was looking at rapid.com, where I bought the plugs, but there are so many variations I don't know where to start. Also, if anyone knows of a good (i.e. cheap) source for different coloured cable, that would be my preferred route.

Incidentally, if I dare mention this without starting another flame war, Rapid have apparently now noticed their mistake and these jack plugs are back up to a regular price. However, there are still a few obvious miss-pricing anomalies on their site, for those prepared to look, that may have some relevance to A-100 users. Including 3.5mm mono plug to 6.35mm mono sockets for £0.076 each.
