let me chime in here and mention that my A-111's and A-110's are super-reliable and stable.
i have the modules for 10-11 years, and never had to do any calibration on them....
they track perfectly fine all these years...!

Any CV in the range -12V...+12V is allowed and nothing can be damaged. But
the 1V/Oct accuracy will become worse as you leave specified frequency range
(about 15Hz ...8kHz for the A-110).
