I agree. Synthwerks has been toying with the idea of a compressor/limiter modules for a while now and the knowledge that everyone will want VC of everything is what has slowed it down. There is not much value in VC of a compressor/limiter to me. VC of compression ratio You could provide side-chain inputs of course and those could be a CV in but at that point it is just a VCA. The RMS detector could have CV out but that would not be terribly useful compared to a envelope follower with more controls. I think a brick wall limiter would be a very useful module to have in a system - a "speaker saver" modules that you can set a volume level that will never be exceeded and when that high-Q filter accidentally crosses the fundamental you speakers are still working. It would have very little or no VC in it though.
