I've got a Tiptop Z8000 which has all the directional functions ... it's not cheap though, but is quite fab.

How do you use the direction input though I realise I've never used it ... it sounds like it'll make things pretty chaotic ;) I'm usually trying to make my stuff repeatable and tight so I've not tried it!
