i'm having problems performing simple portamento using the
a171 vc slew limiter. when i apply the a171 slew limiter to pitch
cv it results in serious intonation problems. i went back and
checked the a190's scale adjustment w just the a190 and an
oscillator, checking across 4 octaves w a tuner, it's fine.
seems my a171 will not pass cv cleanly regardless of slope. it
causes portamento, will adjust from slow to fast, but notes are
wrong.
when i patch the a190's cv1 output to the a171, then to the osc,
middle C drops 1/4 step, and intonation goes completely out of
whack. this occurs even when using only one osc. very
frustrating. completely unusable. that's w no slew applied. i
also taped the middle C key down and left it for several minutes
but no change in pitch during that period.
could this possibly have anything to do w using non-doepfer
osc's i recall having to alter the scaling of the a190 when i
began using it w a pair of ASys rs95's. once the scaling was
adjusted they played perfectly together, except now when the 171
intercepts the pitch cv, then the a190's scaling wants to be
adjusted back down to doepfer's default position.
any thoughts is there a bias adjustment i don't know about
within the 171
