Hi all,
I recently bought an FP5 foot controller and A-177-2 External Foot Controller II
however when using it to control various modules I have felt it hasn't been behaving as I expected and when checking it with a voltmeter I found it is putting out a CV of roughly +6.7V to +11V with a full pedal sweep, not The 0...+8V described in the manual.
Checking the pedal I found it's resistance between tip and ring to vary from about 9.4k to 0.1k when swept.
The double foot switch of the A177-2 has been functioning normally and when I checked it with the voltmeter both gates when triggered put out the normal 0 to roughly 12V, so it is just the foot controller aspect of the module that I think is not working properly.
I wondered if anyone had any advice on how to proceed, and if this doesn't sound normal, what could be causing the problem
Although both units will still be under warranty but I bought them from Shnediers Buero whilst on holiday in Berlin, and I live in the UK, so returning them would be difficult!
Thanks,
Neal
