All these selection types are alternative (i.e. they
exclude one another). We
need to know which is the prefered way to select the
running mode. I think that
the voltage controlled selection is the best way (with
manual control and CV
input with attenuator, e.g. 0...1V = forward / 1...2V
= backward / 2...3V =
pendulum 1 / 3...4V = pendulum 2 / 4...5V = voltage
controlled adressing of the
sequencer step. But this would exclude the possibility
of separate clocks for up
and down as desired by some users.
And in case of voltage controlled mode selection or
selection with up/down
buttons or inputs: which is the best order of the
different running modes that
correspond to the control voltage (maybee different
orders that are programmed
by the user - a bit like the filter orders for the
A-107). And I think a display
of the selected running mode is necessary for voltage
controlled mode selection.
And which running modes are necessary (2 different
pendulum modes like MAQ One
Shot ...)
How about a voltage controlled clock source integrated
into the new sequencer
controller

A lot of questions, I know. But there are so many
possibilities to built a new
sequencer controller and we need to know which
features and which "user
interface" the members would prefer.
