My brother is having difficulty with his Darktime. He describes the issue below

"I want to enter a rest in a sequence of 8 notes. So, as per the manual, I set the step to off and expect to hear silence of a duration equivalent to the notes of the rest of the sequence when the sweep gets to that point. Instead a note still sounds, the pitch of which is as set by the pitch knob prior to flicking the switch to 'off'. Turning the knob does change the pitch of the sounding 'rest note'. Switching to 'on' again and twiddling the now changes the pitch of the step but flicking it to off retains the new pitch which is sounded with the rest of the sequence!

Any suggestion as to what I'm doing wrong "

I can only suggest wiping the os and re-installing it
