The Dark Time does not generate tones but only the control signals CV and
Gate that can be used to generate a tone. It depends upon the settings of
the sound generation unit (especially release of the envelope generator) if
the tone ends when the gate turns low.
We considered the keep the CV of a step when the following step is off. But
we cancelled this idea as it's required to generate legato sounds (i.e. the
pitch changes without starting a new envelope).
