It would be much easier to modify the A-182 by adding a diode between each
socket and switch. Simply interrupt the pcb track between socket and switch,
solder a diode between socket and switch (the schematics is shown on the
A-186 page) and add an output socket. That way you obtain a "switched" A-186
gate/trigger combiner.
It would probably take only a few hours to "condense" the A-182 pcb and
front panel to obtain such a module (with 9 sockets and 8 switches). But I'm
not sure if there are sufficient inquiries for such a module. An additional
option would be select between "DC coupled combination" (i.e. gate remains a
steady gate signal at the sum) or "AC coupled combination" (i.e. only the
rising edges of the inputs signals are used to generate the combined trigger
signal). The two types could be distinguished by left/right positions of the
switches (center = off).
