I didn't know you had purchased this BS2 second hand and from eBay.  Have you made sure the modules are all plugged in to the power bus  Some circuits can pass audio without being powered.  And companies that sell electronics on eBay are not necessarily aware of how they work and what they should even do!

yes that is all you need to do, for cons I have no idea of the strength he needed, but when the introduction of the new chip well check it is properly nested so that it did not loose connections
