Thank you for your reply. Regarding not making modules that already exist… really if that were the case we wouldn’t have most of the great things Dieter has designed, based on existing equipment but given his own touch which is why I love Doepfer gear.

It's not Doepfer indeed, but it is eurorack.
I don't see how you can think that Dieter will be making a module that another eurorack maker is already making.
Doesn't seem to be a very good thing business wise I think.
But maybe that's just me...
Anyways, here's how my A128 expansion turned out, PatchPierre was nice enough to devote a little bit of text to it:

And regarding the 2nd part of your question:
You could get creative with the synthesis part of the Doepfer vocoder.
It's hard to get the exact same functionality going but...
Another approach would be to use A128 fixed filterbank - with expander (I build my own version).
And use the individual outputs of those as inputs to various VCAs and mixers... Loads of work...
So...
Another very interesting module in this domain of creative filtering is the new RxMx by MakeNoise ( http://www.makenoisemusic.com/RxMx.html )
When combined with the new FXDf module there are some similar things possible http://www.makenoisemusic.com/FXDf.shtml
all the best,

I don't think so... Look at this, it's only a few months old:

Does anyone know if there has ever been a plan fora doepfer spectral processor, like the buchla one Or how to best use existing modules to the same effect
Thanks,
