heh, reminds me of a couple years back i figured out how to directly tap the audio from the board of an old apple //e to sample some of the gloriously crunchy sounds it made, and trying to remember the necessary keyboard commands and key controls for old programs & games from 30 years earlier was quite the flashback. and oh yes, the 5 1/4" floppies taking their time to grind away... until the drive heads end up scrambling the data and corrupting the disk permanently (30+ years old cheap magnetic data media, it's a known issue among apple ][ people: you usually only get a few good reads before the disk self-destructs, and you get that wonderful horrific SKRRRIIIKIKIKIKIKIKK!!!!!! sound from the drive mechanism when a disk fails to read... hmm, gonna have to record that too at some point...).
and my apologies to the group, i know this has nothing to do with Doepfer, but Florian's tale just reminded me of my own recent "ancient computer flashback" experience. :-)

Re: 1 Software for Sound Sampler System
I haven't yet connected the SSS to the Commodore, because I first have
to overhaul it, but working with this old program was really a flash
back. All navigation is done by key shortcuts and calling a subroutine
makes the floppy working for minutes... :-)
