You are correct. The idea is to TURN OFF the INPUT of the A190-4 via USB in LOGIC but
I was referring to the OUTPUT of the A190-4 in "Audio Midi Setup" NOT Logic (so the A190-4 would stop its MIDI OUTPUT to Logic. I want the A190-4 to Receive MIDI info only and NOT OUTPUT any MIDI info which is what's causing problems).
That being said you can not turn off either one of those settings (IN or OUT) for the A190-4 in the
"Audio MIDI Setup"
. They are both grayed out.

In Logic under Settings>MIDI>General>MIDI Thru, you have the option to TURN OFF any instrument that does not have a MIDI Thru on/off switch but this seems to have no effect what so ever even when I choose the A90-4 (not sure why). :(
