Example: If we put a trapezoid-to-rectangle converter after trapezoid-FM-oscillator, we do not get the FM signal of rectangle oscillators. Instead we get, what a rectangle-converter makes from a FM'ed signal. And that is simply the same that every fuzzbox for guitar players does. I do not need a new type of oscillator that for.
