Because, many people prefer just Doepfer.

What Doepfer offers to Euro is a complete modular system in the true sense of the term, the number of modules available within the Doepfer range is unparalleled within the format and that is a very flexible and ideal solution for users who are either beginners or adepts.... not to mention cost effective.

But, you are right - the fun of Eurorack is the amount of choice now out there and I do also use modules from many other manufacturers... I just put them all in a separate case.

The ''Frankenstein'' aesthetic of a mixed modular system, although perfectly feasible and good is, for me, a bit like trying to shoehorn an ARP 1047 in to a Moog C series system. ;)
