For portamento applications (pitch CV slew limiting) I'd recommend the upper section of the A-170. It has been optimized for this
job. It has e.g. no serial output resistor to avoid any voltage losses. The A-171-2 has a lot of cool features but precise slew
limiting for pitch CV is not among these.
