This was many months ago, so I could well be misremembering it, but I *believe* I tried this and instead of being able to send a trigger in addition to the gate (as per

), it would quickly turn the gate off and on again with each new note. But as it naturally can't predict the future, that means the second overlapping note onwards is delayed with respect to the first. Manually shortening them trims their end point instead of their start point, which, although tedious, results in better timing.
So I was hoping to get it to output short trigger bursts in addition to one long, uninterrupted gate, for all the overlapping notes.
