of course a Jomox bassdrum does not need this (I own a Xbase09 ;-) ...). My thought was more generally about how to handle bassdrum sounds.

What I had in mind was a filter not only to shape the sound but also to muffle it without to alter the mix level. 

The "thin" sound you refer to is not a common thing with a Jomox module I think. Very loud and fat.
