I am afraid that the world became quite “choosy” along the decades as for the pursuit of sound “quality”. The trend strongly arose out of the DSP advent, at large, though the quest after aseptic and free from contamination soundscapes surely is an old story… By the way, it always surprises me, since it seems a pretty empty concept from a creative viewpoint or... just sterile and inconsistent. Do not noises and clips and thumps and bums and hums take part anymore in music and creation, as well as in life and natural processes
best,
Diego
