Hi Dieter,
Software has a problem with platform obsolescence, which is particularly acute for Macs. I doubt it is financially viable for you to support software with upgrades to run on current OS releases in the long term, which has a knock-on effect on the use of your hardware.
My suggestion to help the community overcome this is to publish a specification of the communications between hardware and software, so it is practical to create 3rd party utilities. To minimise the work this could be achieved by open sourcing the code of your existing utility.
(FWIW I have reverse engineered quite a bit of some sampler file formats, to help with present day use of the machines)
