I would do pretty the same lovely purchase choice, though there’s a plenty of random and uncertainty modules out there that Mr Doepfer likely did notice and.... you know... who would choose to produce some goods knowing that they will not be sold properly It’s not a coincidence that Germany is the first EU country for manufacturing, people work hard there, it’s not France or England where, on the contrary, the supposed self-styled workers spend a loooot of time for macarons, marrons glacés, cafés literaires and never ending tea’s afternoons
MI Marbles likely is very different from the chaos module design (just cannot say) but it’s bloody fun and musical, cannot stop using it
By the way, I also crave for a frequency shifter upgrade.... for sure

My understanding is that the 149-3 would be the chaos module and another would be based on the fluctuating random voltages missing from the 149-1. I haven’t got the funds for Buchla gear and doepfer quality is brilliant, so these would both be definite future purchases for me.

I agree with Neil - I’m not very interested in smaller versions of modules - my eyes and fingers have enough difficulty with “normal” size modules!!
Are there to be any extensions to the A149 I know there were going to be but it’s been along time........
I suppose the Touch Plate keyboard has died long ago. I’d really like something like that.

I have to say I’m not very interested in these new slimmed down modules, although I understand from a commercial point that Doepfer need to entice a new customer base. There were some very cool modules that had been in the development stage such as the Chos module that have now been abandoned. Many long term users would dearly love and update to the A-126 but it has now been postponed for what seems an eternity. Also the promised update to the A-157 to allow for ratcheting seems to be delayed. I agree an update to teh website is really needed, so that customers can see what updates are in progress and which to stop asking about.

Neil

With modules getting smaller and smaller we will soon need more than 14 power headers on each busboard!

Hello,
no news so far. We are about to develop some other new modules which seem to
be more important than the A-126 redesign, especially modules with smaller
front panels but the same functions as larger modules (e.g. 4HP versions of
8HP modules, like the A-140-2, A-142-1, A-111-3, A-184-1/2 and so on). The
A-126 redesign is not cancelled but it does not a high priority in the
holding pattern. So far I cannot tell an estimated release date for the
A-126-2.Indeed the A-100 news page is a bit out-dated. It has to do with the planned
relaunch of our website by an external free-lancer. The relaunch takes much
more time than expected. So far only the dealers section is working. Ma ybe
we will update the A-100 news page still with the old system.Thank you
