hello,
i know that the diode filters act strange, but with the
a102 it is more than strange ;-)
because of diode tolerances the filter slope changes
with cutoff frequency and resonance.
thats why it is named "diode filter" and not "24db diode filter".
dieter doepfer explained this to me several weeks ago.
the resonance and the cutoff also slightly change each other.
when i compare the a102 with a rs500e, which is also a
diode type filter, then the sound is similar, but on the rs500e
the self oscillation begins with the pot at approx 8 just as usual.
anyway, the a102 sounds really good, so maybe it is
not that important. it was just a bit irritating to me.
best wishes
self oscillate (nomen est omen ;-)
