Hi all
I was at the Frankfurter Messe this week, which was again a great show with
quite some interesting and new stuff
of course there was the Super Booth with a lot of analog gear, including EMC
(Moog), Technosaurus and the Doepfer A100
there was also a delegate and a huge impressive modular system, including
the EMS filter and trapezoid generator from Analog Systems from the UK and
Ken McBeth from McBeth systems (M3X) but it was presented in the Touched by
Sound (germany) booth. I was also able to play a little with the Arturia
Sofware Modular Moog, which sounded more impressing and authentic than I
expected
Back to the A100: Dieter Doepfer showed me some of the new modules and
products, including the new multi-mode filter based on a CEM chip with all
kind of usual filter models, but also really exotic filter models, and the
ability to morph between the models, great !
Also the Sequencer Controller A154 was there and of course I asked how long
it would take to have it finished
but it seems Doepfer is waiting for the results of the discussion on this
list.
I thought that all the discussions about features on the A154 were already
closed, but now I noticed there is still a poll pending
Maybe I am a little impatient, but can anyone tell about the current status
and what we are waiting for to give Doepfer the final 'Go' for this great
sequencer enhancement
By the way: I filmed some minutes of Dieter Doepfer patching and fiddling
his blue-led demo A100 system creating a weird vocoder patch, if you are
interested I could make an MPEG of this movie (hope I am able to make it an
acceptable size...) and post it to the A100 group, please let me know if you
think this is might be of interest to this group
Regards
Eric
