Although I prefer the A111, the A110 isn't really that bad. And I
like the A121 (especially the band pass filter), but not for
everything. I mean, I like mustard, but not in my coffee.. mostly
(if you catch my drift).
As for the A126 Frequency Shifter, I can't agree on that it's whack.
That said, I wish A126 had a lower shift register, as well as sine
and cosine inplimentation, but that would drive the price right up.
Correctly used, the A126 can add weirdness you'd be hard pressed to
find elsewhere.
Personally, I'd like to see a new dedicated wavetable oscillator
(i.e. no sampling option) with better and more visual control over
waveform selection than the A112 offers. For example, the old
Digisound VCDO, although inexpensive and slightly less than elegant,
used 4 groups containing 8 waveforms each. CV inputs for group and
waveform manipulation allowed for precise waveform selection, as well
as made the job of wavetable modulation quite easy.
