dieter say:
"Because of the modifications of the A-107 we have to
built a new prototype to be on the safe side before we
start the first production series. The new prototype
pc board and the prototype front panel were ordered
end of last week. From our experience it will take
about 2-3 weeks to receive the new pcb and front
panel. Then we will built the new prototype and start
the production if everything is OK.
In the meantime we tested some vactrol circuits:
different combinations of LDRs and LEDs (green ones
seem to be the best as the spectral behaviour of the
LDRs fits best to the green spectrum), some filters
including a clone of the Buchla low pass gate but we
were not very impressed by the Buchla circuit,
especially the circuit (Sallen&Key filter) does not
allow emphasis/resonance control as the resonance of
this design is determined by the relation of two
capacitors in the nF range and variable capacitors in
this range are not available. Other filter designs
(e.g. a vatrol version of the Trautonium filter and
copy of an old design of my own from about 1975) sound
much better from our point of view. But of course all
depends upon your personal preferences and I do not
want to stir up any discussion which filter sound
better as this does not really make sense.
The A-105 SSM filter will be part of the next A-100
production series and I hope it will be available end
of May.
We are not sure what is more important for our
customers: continuing the DIY page, starting the TKB
and A-154 polls on our web site to finish these
designs or continuing the research of new modules
(SOU, vactrol, "normal" keyboard, "mini" SW, chaos
modules ...). Everything takes time and we have
organize all the tasks in the waiting loop."
me say:
SO,WHAT DO YOU THINK I THINK THAT THE A154 AND THE
TKS SHOULD COME RIGHT AFTER THE A107!!!!WE'RE WAITING
FOR THESE FOR TOOOOO LONG......
BAKIS.
