I agree and disagree with you here. It is not as simple as you state.
This is going to be a major financial and design undertaking. It
demands more attention and discussion then a filter by the simple
fact that is going to be a Controller i.e a a keyboard, a sequencer
etc.
The designers and users have to define the function set. Once that's
done comes the esthetics and layout. So if you miss certain functions
and people don't buy it, then you have a fiasco on your hands.
I know it has taken a long time , so the best thing to do would be to
have all the group members write down their ideas and a wish list of
functions in the files section along with the proposed doepfer model
and have doepfer create so the tkb can evolve.
There is a mountain of info from the past to incorporate into the
proposed TKB, we should try amalgamate the past with the future to
come up with a new controller.
