external control voltage. The present amplification is displayed with
two LEDs: one for positive and one for negative amplifications."
So, the LEDs don't just reflect the knob position, they reflect the
polarity of the CV, which you can't see.
The choice comes down to, do you want the LEDs to show the input
voltage, or the output voltage
A better question is this: How do the input voltage and the manual
knob interact Does the CV input jack short out the manual knob, and
bypass it completely That's how it seems to be, based on the "or" in
Doepfer's description.
