" The first "wild" prototype (no computer generated pc
board but hand-wired) works very good and I'm
confident that the A-137 will be available in fall if
no problems for the regular prototype (computer
generated pc board) occur. We only have to do some
"fine tuning" (e.g. to find the optimal sensitivities
and ranges for the CV inputs). So I hope that the
A-137 Wave Multiplier, A-149-1 SOU1 and A-167 Analog
Comparator will be included with the September
production (i.e. ready built modules will come
October/November) that also contains the A-154.
I have to correct my last remark concerning the
possibility to upgrade the A-154 with CV controlled
first/last step: as the processor has only 5 analog
inputs available (i.e. 5 analog-to-digital converter
inputs) and 4 are already used up (mode, step address,
clock, pulsewidth) there is only one analog input
left. Consequently it is not possible to add two more
analog inputs. We would have to use another processor
with more analog inputs. As this would cause again
production delay we will refrain from changing the
processor. But a compromise would be possible: The
step address CV input is used e.g. as last step (in
all modes except the step addressed mode) and the
remaining 5th analog input is used for first step.
This is a compromise that will work as the step
address input is not used in all modes except the step
address mode.
Best wishes
