well, depending on one`s own view of what might consititute a polyphonic
controller "voice" ( vco, vcf,vca chain, etc. ) , even with a fairly modest
system its possible to set up 2 or 3 simple voices. i think more what i was
trying to say was that a more fully featured non-polyhonic unit would be a
better thing for me personally not so much from a perspective of modular size
needed but from a perspective of my own musical idea`s and the realities of
trying to keep production simple and cost down. for me, this is all a
"hobby", i could, with planning, buy an $800 controller. i`d be hard pressed
to be able to justify, even to myself, $2000 ( or whatever comparison figure
would be appropriate ) for a fully loaded polyphonic unit. then again, this
is just my opinion and may not reflect the interests and aesthetics of the
larger user community -
