Hi all,
Following on from the various messages on this thread.
Firstly I like the idea of a second pressure plate either per key or just a standalone one, that can be used as an aftertouch plate.
I generally think that polyphony, although nice to have, would be more than I need. If the unit was mono or duophonic that would be great, with additional pads for introducing pitch bend, vibrato, triggering other functions etc .
If the unit proves to be so complex and feature rich that the cost exceeds say 500 euros, the uptake is likely to be smaller and therefore it's cost effectiveness from Dieters end, recovering development and production costs, might make the units production unviable to produce.
Just my opinion.

David

dieter doepfer say:
Well the polyphonic features will lead to big problems
(provided that
all
functions should be polyphonic and not only CV1 and
Gate). If only Gate
and CV1
should be polyphonic this will be possible with lower
efforts. If CV2
and
pressure should be polyphonic to this causes a lot of
additional
circuits
(additional expensive high-res AD/DA-converters and
memory).
