the bode shifter is capable of shifting the signal
by very tiny amounts (few hz), which causes interesting
sonic effects. it also is more accurate and silent and
can be used as a pitch shifter with exponential response.
the doepfer is a simpler design with a significantly
lower price, has linear response only and the minimum
shift frequency is much higher, which limits it's use
a bit. it still is a very cool module, especially when
you look at the price. but well, the bode type shifter
can do some things that the a126 can't do.
