Hi,
if I may jump in with the answer - after all, I am the guy who
started this thread. I checked A-151 description on Doepfer site, and
that's sequential switch, right Each time the trigger signal
arrives, I/O connection shifts one step down. I have a dual switch (A-
150), I believe its similar in concept.
ASR is very different: it replicates the same CV on the next socket
when the next trigger arrives, and so on. Which means it can be one,
two, three, or more steps late (if you link multiple ASRs). Which
means the same melody can be repeated in "cannon" effect.
Cyndustries offers ASR with LOT of extra features, making it
extremely desirable module.
Also, important note: the same effect can be achieved with multiple
S&H modules linked in serial, as I was explained on AH, but did not
try it myself yet (I only have one S&H module from BigBriar, and I am
waiting for Doepfer one to arrive).
Regards
Zoran
