Hi there,
I have just aqquired some new modules, and am just thinking about linear and
exponential differences. (vcas / mixers)
Now i know what the techincal difference is between linear and exponential,
but things seem so get a little hazy...
The A-135 VC mixer for example uses linear vcas on an audio signal.
Now without the vcas the module is just a simple mixer, just like an A-138.
So, are the attenuators on the input signal linear or exponential
(i.e. ignoring the vcas, is it an A-138a or an A-138b )
What am i getting at I dont really know: im just somewhat confused, and i
was hoping that someone could educate me. I know 'rules' with modulars are
not really rules, but id at least like to understand the pros and cons.
Thankyou, Julian.
Ps. Im also wondering what would work best with the morphing controller:
4xA-130/131s and an A-180 multiple, or a couple of dual linear A-132s and a
linear/exponential A-138...
