At long last I have finally received my A107, A149-1 and A196.
Early impressions are good on all three. Much more experimentation is
needed though.
At the same time I purchased a pair of A178 Theremin modules.
These are very twitchy. I put a basic set-up together to test, A178 a >
VCO>VCA and A178 b > VCA.
Apart from the fact that I will probably have to invert the VCA
controller so that it is quieter as you move nearer the aerial instead
of the other way round as it is by default.
I have found that the offset control on both only has a practical range
between 4.5 and 5.5. Anything else and either I get a voltage that
pushes the VCO outside the audio range or in the case of the VCA
controller the audio is always on or off regardless of hand positioning.
Any thoughts from the Theremin users out there
BTW my aerials also do not stay in a horizontal position (as in a
previous thread) I'll see if I can tighten the socket terminals a bit.
Regards
David
