The case is just one of those standard skb pop up mixer cases. The subracks
are not comercialy availible (theyre schroff parts, that i had guilotined
down at the machinist, and new backs made up for them)
All in all, it was a fair bit of work (less if you buy doepfer busboards
though, as i built my own), but, for me there just wasnt another option
avilible.
What other way can you pick up a 40 module system, carry it without
assistance on public transport, and run it, without a power point at your
destination System100 anyone ; )
Its early days yet, but with the 606s (you can do some nice stuff with 2
synced 606s, their trigger outs, and the a119 / a160, 161 etc) and some
practice amps (i can only carry one amp in the other hand to the doepfer,
and then not for too far) i think theres some fun to be had...
Cheers, Julian
(who had to sell his G6s in order to afford the parts for the new case..
hence the a100 was out of action for a while. Now ive got it back, as you
can imagine, theres a grin on my face....)
