or just swap out the connectors on the 'case-end' of the doepfer ribbon cables.
of course the doepfer bus functions will not be available without installing a
doepfer bus bar, but replacing the connectors will at least get the modules
working.

one calrification, this only happens when you mix AS and doepfer on the
same row. if you have a whole row of doepfer in an AS case, or vice versa,
there will not be gaps. the gaps occur because the modules are drilled
differently, not because of the cases' mount spacing. in fact, the threaded bar
that the modules mount to is identical in doepfer and AS cases.
