dieter says:
"The final prototype versions of the A-143 series and
A-152 were built and tested so that the production
documents will go the manufacturer probably during
next week. So we can expect the first of the new
modules about end of June. Some of the A-100 users
recommended not to publish several modules at the same
time but e.g. with an intentional distance of e.g. one
or two months. This would make it easier to the
overlook the news and save the purse as the expenses
are spread over a longer period. Maybe we will spread
the publishing dates for the new modules. Maybe we
will introduce something like the "module of the
month" with additional discount if the module is
ordered within the month of publication. But this
procedure is still under discussion.
The next "module" to be finished will be the CV/gate
keyboard, the "realtime digital processor" (includes
bit cruncher and other realtime digital transforms),
the clocked delay module and the synced LFO module.
From different sources we heard that it would be a
good idea to reduce a bit the "frequeny" of new
modules. So we may slow down a bit the development of
new modules.What do you think
Concerning the blue LEDs in vactrol modules it is true
that blue LEDs are not possible for vactrol modules.
The reason is that the electronic behaviour of blue
leds is very different to the red leds inside the
vactrols (voltage, current, brightness). The leds at
the front panel of the vactrol modules are connected
in series with the leds inside the vactrols to show
exactly the led brightness inside the vactrols. With
blue leds this is not possible. We would have to copy
the complete voltage controlled led current source
circuit to enable blue leds (and both current sources
would have to be adjusted separately). We think that
this expanditure is too much for the result: a blue
instead of a red led at the front panel."
